Wheels4Change: Remembrance Fitness Event formerly called the Pedals for Heroes an annual indoor fundraiser on the last weekend in February to honor the men and women who sacrificed for our freedom. For three hours, participants ride, walk swim or row, individually or as part of a team, as a physical manifestation of our thanks to these courageous men and women. Let us never forget why we’re free. We received so much support our first year we decided to make it an annual event that would not only honor our fallen but also allow the community to rally in support of our Gold Star families and the veterans that came home. We believe by unifying with communities across Ohio, and across the nation we will help ensure Gold Star Families know their loved one is NEVER FORGOTTEN.
Who is Wheels4Change:
Wheels4Change (W4C) is a 501(c)3 organization that helps veterans and their families in the community in which they live. The mission of Wheels4Change is to Honor Our Fallen Heroes, Support Military Families and Serve Our Veterans.
Where Will Proceeds Go?
Proceeds from the Remembrance Fitness Event helps to support W4C’s veterans programs. Some of the programs offered include: employment, bikes, fitness center memberships, race entries, and healing retreats. All veterans are eligible to apply but to qualify for our programs they must complete community service hours. Each community service hour completed translates into $10, which can be applied to the program of their choice. Please visit our web site for details about the veterans sponsorship program and how your dollar helps veterans.
W4C is challenging people in Northeast Ohio and across the US to participate in our Remembrance Fitness Event by participating as a way to honor fallen heroes and their families.
Participating in the Remembrance Fitness Event demonstrates to Gold Star families that their loved ones are not forgotten and that the community wants to support them in their healing while also honoring the memory of their loved one.
Remembrance Fitness Event takes place annually the last Sunday in February in
Northeast Ohio. Our 2017 event will take place on Saturday, February 25th, 2017.

RIDE FOR THE 23 and 2.3 miles Walk of Silence
3rd Annual Ride for the 23 the Walk of Silence September 12th 2015
Ride for the 23 is a 23 mile bike ride or a 2.3 mile walk to help raise awareness about the alarming rate of military suicides. That’s one mile for each of the 22 vets and 1 active duty service member that commit suicide every day. That’s 23 military lives tragically lost, every single day. In 2012 more active duty military members took their own lives than were killed in combat in Afghanistan. We need your help to make Ride For The 23 successful in building awareness of this enormous problem.
Set up a fundraising page at:
When: September 12th 2015 at 9am
Location: All participants of the ride or walk are welcomed to join in on a picnic afterwards.
The Walk of Silence
When: The walk will take place on September 12th at 9am. We will walk and reflect on the sacrifices of Our Military 2.3 miles.
